On Friday 28th June, 3H presented their Armed Forces assembly to the school, to celebrate the National Armed Forces Day on Saturday 29th June. As part of the assembly, the children talked about the different armed forces and the fantastic work that they do all around the world. They also shared stories, photographs and medals of members of their families who served/currently serve in the forces. Our very own Mr Chandler showed the children some of his kit and uniforms from his time spent serving in the Royal Marines, as well as uniforms sent in by PC Mark, who served in the Royal Air Force. Finally, the whole school took part in a salute in aid of #Salutetheforces.

On Friday afternoon, we joined together with our school community to share our annual CPS Summer Fair. Whilst the orchestra played, family and friends took part in the wide variety of activities and side shows available on the playgrounds. The burgers sizzled, the wet sponges were thrown and raffle tickets were quickly exchanging hands! As always, the brilliant PTA and school staff worked hard to raise as much money as possible for our much needed school funds! Everyone had a lovely time shopping, chatting and sharing in the fun of the occasion and overall we managed to raise a huge amount of £1459.25 for school fund and a further £45 for our fund raising initiative to buy a DEFIBRILATOR. Thank you for your support!

Esme came in with this wonderful cake for staff to share. It tasted every bit as good as it looks, thank you Esme!!
