At Cheadle Primary School we are very pleased to be using Edwards and Ward to meet our catering needs. Edwards and Ward love to encourage fun and experimentation at lunch times because as you’ll be well aware, primary school children are in their main development years and helping them make the best choices and broadening their food experiences is so important. Everyday they strive to create the most tasty meals, that are nutritionally balanced and compliant with School Food Standards.
Children not wanting a hot meal are able to bring a packed lunch. We encourage healthy choices - click here for some ideas on what you could include.
The current cost of a school lunch is £3.20 (payment is made via Parentpay) however pupils in KS1 and Reception are entitled to a lunchtime meal free of charge.
If you are in receipt of certain benefits, some KS2 children may be eligible for free school meals. To find out if you are and how to apply, please click this link - Free School Meals. Please note, if your child is not in KS2 and you are entitled to certain benefits, we would encourage you to apply, as the school could receive extra funding to help support your child.
Children may wish to bring a healthy mid-morning snack. Please note, we are a nut-free school.
